Dr. Andrew Bresnahan

Andrew Bresnahan (MD, MSc, MPH, FRCGS) was born in Nunatsiavut, on the north coast of Labrador, where he learned and practiced as a resident physician. Most recently, Andrew worked as Special Advisor to the President of the Qikiqtani Inuit Association in Nunavut, on matters of Inuit-Crown relations, oceans protection, infrastructure, health, and circumpolar affairs. As an Arctic citizen, his interests include Inuit-Crown partnership and circumpolar diplomacy; postcolonial sovereignty games; game theory in Arctic diplomacy and para-diplomacy; political economy of the West Nordics and Inuit Nunaat; rural/northern medicine and health systems; equity indicators in population health; and indices for measuring happiness, wellbeing, and human development.
