“Katherine E. Todd is a Graduate Fellow at NAADSN, a Master of Public Policy student and research assistant at the University of Toronto’s Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy, a Naval Warfare Officer in the Royal Canadian Naval Reserves, a Senior Editor at the NATO Association of Canada, a Fellow at the Policy Insights Forum, a Fellow at the Canadian Global Affairs Institute, and a volunteer in various non-governmental organizations and community groups. 

In 2022, Katherine was the host of a podcast called Voice Above where they interviewed expert guests about current affairs including the Governor General of Canada on reconciliation in Canada, a delegate at the Oxford Diplomacy and Geopolitics Forum in Oxford, UK, and a Junior Research Fellow at the NATO Association of Canada. In May, Katherine graduated with high distinction from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Arts with honours, specializing in political science and minoring in public law, and was awarded various scholarships including the University of Toronto’s prestigious John H. Moss Scholarship that recognizes one undergraduate student per year across all three University of Toronto campuses for their academic achievement and community leadership.   

In March 2023, Katherine was awarded the 2023 Canadian Global Affairs Institute – Women in Defence and Security Fellowship. Katherine’s current research focuses on Arctic security, Indigenous stakeholder engagement, sustainability policy, and industrial and defence capacity and multipurpose infrastructure development in northern Canada.
