Sydney Brummet
Research Fellow
Sydney Brummet is an MAIS candidate with a Certificate in Homeland Security and a Specialization in International Law at Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver. She received her BA in Politics, Philosophy, and Economics from Western Washington University in 2017. Sydney has recently returned from a study abroad at the Graduate Institute in Geneva, Switzerland where she interned for the Center for the Study of Democracy in Sofia, Bulgaria. As an intern, Sydney researched Russian disinformation in the Baltics and EU disinformation policies. Sydney is currently a Research Assistant for the University of Denver and is researching the corruption of various leaders during periods of U.S. intervention. Her academic research is focused on the strategic location of Norway in deterring Russian advancement, Russian disinformation, and Arctic security.
