Cheryl Mitchell

Research Fellow and Emerging Leaders Node Co-Lead

Cheryl Mitchell is a recent graduate from the University of Ottawa’s Conflict Studies and Human Rights program, where she earned her Honours Bachelor of Social Sciences (French Immersion Stream) (Co-op), and completed the uOGlobal Certificate. Over the course of her undergraduate studies, Cheryl worked with Global Affairs Canada, and then later with Indigenous Services Canada. While with Indigenous Services Canada, Cheryl was a part of the Government Capacity Directorate, the COVID-19 Team, and the Emergency Management Directorate. 

Cheryl will be working with Dr. Whitney Lackenbauer as a Research Assistant and will be starting her M.A. in Canadian Studies and Indigenous Studies at Trent University in the fall of 2021. Cheryl is excited to begin working with and learning from the members of NAADSN.
