Cordelia Buchanan Ponczek is a research fellow at the Finnish Institute of International Affairs (FIIA) and a doctoral candidate at the University of Oxford. Her research focuses on geoeconomics, trade, and extraction of natural resources, including hydrocarbons and critical raw materials and rare earth elements. Cordelia’s research is particularly focused on the multistakeholder aspect of such extractive projects, their regulation, and their impact on the local population.
