Ethan Wong
Ethan’s areas of interest include non-Arctic state involvement, Arctic governance, and geopolitics. His current research focuses on the role and status of the non-Arctic states in the Arctic Council, particularly in promoting peace and cooperation in the region. Ethan holds a BA in International Studies from American University, School of International Service, and a minor in Data Science. His undergraduate research focused on analyzing the national Arctic strategies of Arctic and non-Arctic states using quantitative text analysis methods.
Previously, Ethan worked as a Research Fellow at the Center for Climate and Security, an institute of the Council on Strategic Risks. He also interned at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory as a Systems Engineering and Project Management Intern for the Surface Biology and Geology (SBG) Designated Observable.
