Jill is a current MA student at Trent University, where she is studying sustainable energy systems in northern communities. With a deep passion for both teaching and sustainable energy solutions, Jill is committed to addressing environmental challenges, particularly in remote and northern communities. Throughout her academic journey, Jill had the opportunity to study abroad in diverse locations, including Alaska, Scotland, Iceland, and Barbados. These experiences allowed her to immerse herself in unique cultures, climates, and environmental contexts, deepening her understanding of the complex relationship between sustainability and the environments in which people live. These study abroad experiences have been pivotal in shaping Jill’s perspectives on global environmental challenges and solutions.
