Directly contributing to the response efforts in Yellowknife, Judy worked alongside the Government of Northwest Territories Emergency Management Organization, CANTF2 and the Canadian Rangers at 1 Canadian Ranger Patrol Group. This collaboration highlighted the significance of community engagement for disaster resilience – the Rangers’ deep ties to communities serve as a model for fostering resilience and preparedness. 

Aligned with the mission of NAADSN, she is eager to contribute her expertise in crafting strategies that integrate the strengths of the local government, Canadian Rangers and the Canadian Armed Forces to advance research and initiatives for a more disaster resilient future in the North.
