Liou Van Tichelen is a 4th-year Honours student in Political Studies at the University of Manitoba. She is currently employed part-time with the House of Commons while completing her full-time studies.

Her academic interests lie in international law, with a particular focus on maritime law, human rights law, and the laws of armed conflict. She is also passionate about research related to international organizations such as NATO and the United Nations. Fluent in both French and English, she plans to pursue law school following the completion of her undergraduate degree.
