Manuel Carranza
Research Fellow
Manuel Carranza is a researcher focused on Defense and security affairs. He had the privilege of undertaking study opportunities at several military academies and defense-affiliated institutions.
Currently is a Non-Resident Fellow for the US Center for Adaptive and Integrative Statecraft/Strategic Engagement (CAIS-SE) at the US Joint Special Operational University (JSOU) and a research fellow for North American and Arctic Defence and Security Network. He previously served as a forecaster for INFER (University of Maryland/Cultivate Labs) and as a research assistant at the William J. Perry Center for Hemispheric Defense Studies (US National Defence University).
As an aspiring academic, he collaborates with academics with translation, editing, locating funding opportunities, and outreach in supporting engagement between high-level military and civilian defense personnel. Some of his memberships include the Strategic Hub for Organised Crime Research (RUSI), the North America Research Network (CISAN/UNAM), and the Center for Strategic and Aerospace Studies (CEEA) at the Chilean Air Force.
