Mary Paquet is a visual communicator focused on working in science communication for eNGOs in Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Guelph and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Visual Communication from Fleming College. Mary is currently working towards her master’s degree in Environmental Education and Communication at Royal Roads University. Specializing in graphic design and video editing, Mary gets most excited about the kind of work that exists at the intersection of science and storytelling.
With NAADSN, Mary will work on visual tools that help to summarize and highlight research findings for reports, presentations and social media.
Most recently, Mary worked with the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition to support the launch of Land, Water, Ocean, Us: A National Ocean Literacy Strategy and Implementation Plan, among other visual assets for the web and social media. Mary has also worked with Ocean Week Canada, the Students on Ice Foundation, CPAWS Ottawa-Valley, the Ottawa Riverkeeper and the Royal Ontario Museum.
