Post Event Report

This conference will bring together scholars, military representatives, and current and former policymakers to discuss the history, achievements, and future of the Permanent Joint Board on Defense, established during World War Two to coordinate US and Canadian defenses in North America.

Sponsored by the North American and Arctic Defence and Security Network, the University of Manitoba’s Centre for Defence and Security Studies and Institute for Humanities, and the Canadian Defence and Security Network, this conference is being hosted by the Hopkins Center for Canadian Studies at Johns Hopkins University’s Paul H. Nitze School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, D.C.
